DESCRIPTION:The Swan Inn at Newland hosts a beer festival on 26 July 2025 with the bar open from 11am until late. It’s a grand celebration of great British breweries\, serving a wide range of ales\, lagers\, ciders and cocktails from both the inside and outside bars. DESCRIPTION:Cost\nAdults: £7 (plus small booking fee online; no booking fee if booking direct in person or on 01684 892289)\nCarers and children under 14: Free \nAbout the walk\nWhy not join one of Malvern Civic Society’s walks and find out about the fascinating history of Malvern? \n– See how Malvern’s famous Water Cure and Spa flourished in the 19th Century\n– Learn about the mediaeval Priory\n– Find out about the town’s Elgar connections\n– Hear of important visitors to the town and the story behind some ‘blue plaques’\n– Discover more about the coming of radar \nWalks last approximately 90 minutes. \nPlease be aware that Great Malvern is a hillside town and our tour follows its steep gradients and steps along narrow pavements. \nIf you have a disability that requires support from a carer\, the carer goes free. Children under 14 and vulnerable adults should be accompanied by an appropriate adult. If you are under 14 or the carer of a vulnerable adult\, there is no charge. \nSorry – no dogs are allowed\, except assistance dogs. \nWalks are led by enthusiastic and knowledgeable guides from Malvern Civic Society. \nDates and times\nWalks run every Monday (including Bank Holidays) and Saturday at 10.30am from 5 April until 27 October 2025. \nPlease note – the following dates are fully booked: 2 June 2025\, 4 October 2025 \nBooking\nPlease book in advance to avoid disappointment. SUMMARY:Butterflies on the Old Hills
DESCRIPTION:This event was originally scheduled for 19 July\, but has been postponed to 26 July 2025. \nThere are twenty-six butterfly species found on the Old Hills near Callow End and most are found in July at the height of the butterfly season. \nDuring the walk\, we will try to identify the different species and sexes and where to find them. \nThe paths that will be used are good over short steep climbs in places. \nParticipants are asked to wear good walking shoes and sun protection. \nEmail info@malvernhills.org.uk or call 01984 892002 for further information or to book.
