DESCRIPTION:About the walk\nDiscover the rich heritage of one of England’s most charming spa towns\, famed for its invigorating Water Cure. \nJoin one of Malvern Civic Society’s volunteer guides to trace the town’s evolution\, from a 19th century spa destination\, to its role in World War II as an important centre for secret radar development. Along the way\, explore Victorian architecture\, Great Malvern Priory\, connections to composer Edward Elgar\, and sites celebrated through Malvern’s many blue plaques\, commemorating notable residents and visitors. \nWhether you’re a first-time visitor or a lifelong resident\, you’ll leave with a deeper appreciation for Malvern’s cultural and historical legacy. \nDates and times\nThe 90-minute tours operate every Saturday and Monday from April 2026 to October 2026\, starting at 10.30am from Malvern Tourist Information Centre on Church Street (contact: 01684 892289). \nAll walks are subject to guide availability. \nTickets\nThe cost is £7 for adults; 14 – 16 year olds go free. \nTickets are available online via TicketSource or at the Malvern Tourist Information Centre. If Ticketsource shows ‘sold out’\, more tickets may be available. \nPlease book in advance to avoid disappointment. Ten places are available on each walk: four are available to book through Malvern Tourist Information Centre either in person or on 01684 892289; the other six are available to book online at Ticketsource (small booking fee applies online). Any tickets for a Saturday walk unsold online by noon on Friday\, or tickets for a Monday walk unsold online by 8am on Monday\, will become available to purchase through Malvern Tourist Information Centre during opening hours. DESCRIPTION:Join us at Adhisthana to meditate with others and develop your ability to work creatively with your mind. You can either learn to meditate from scratch and develop the foundations for a daily practice or join the regulars to build on what you know and discover how to apply yourself effectively in meditation. \nAs of December 2025\, classes are being held on Mondays from 7.30pm – 9.30pm and are open to participants of all levels of experience. Please note there is no class on 22 or 29 December 2025. \nYou are welcome to arrive 15 minutes before the start. You’ll be greeted at the entrance by someone who will direct you where to go and help you with any queries. \nThe class takes place in a room on the first floor and is\, as a consequence\, unfortunately not accessible. \nIn the first half of the session\, we meditate together; this is followed by a tea break. SUMMARY:Meditation and Buddhism Class
DESCRIPTION:Join us at Adhisthana to meditate with others and develop your ability to work creatively with your mind. You can either learn to meditate from scratch and develop the foundations for a daily practice or join the regulars to build on what you know and discover how to apply yourself effectively in meditation. \nAs of December 2025\, classes are being held on Mondays from 7.30pm – 9.30pm and are open to participants of all levels of experience. Please note there is no class on 22 or 29 December 2025. \nYou are welcome to arrive 15 minutes before the start. You’ll be greeted at the entrance by someone who will direct you where to go and help you with any queries. \nThe class takes place in a room on the first floor and is\, as a consequence\, unfortunately not accessible. \nIn the first half of the session\, we meditate together; this is followed by a tea break. In the second half\, we learn about the teachings of the Buddha with the chance to engage in discussion and ask questions. \nThe class is led by a team of members of the Triratna Buddhist Order and those who are training for ordination. \nIf you would like more information\, you can call Adhisthana on 01531 641726 or email us (otherwise just turn up!).

DESCRIPTION:Hellens is delighted that William Howard\, one of Britain’s leading pianists\, will be returning to perform in the Great Barn. \nWilliam has enjoyed a career that has taken him to over 40 different countries. As soloist and chamber musician William has performed regularly at major venues and festivals in the UK and can often be heard on BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM. He has made over forty CD recordings and premiered several dozen new works by leading composers from the UK and elsewhere. In 1983 he founded the Schubert Ensemble\, with which he performed for the full 35 years of the Ensemble’s existence. Three solo piano recordings for Orchid Classics – Sixteen Romantic Love Songs (2016)\, Sixteen Contemporary Love Songs (2018) and an album of pieces by Howard Skempton (2020) – have been hugely successful on streaming platforms and have enjoyed much critical acclaim. In May 2024 Orchid released a new album featuring a collection of Nocturnes by 17 different composers. DESCRIPTION:Folk at The Fold is a monthly folk club held in the Cart House at The Fold – beautiful half-timbered surroundings with lovely acoustics – perfect for the folk songs that you love to sing or hear among genuine folk friends. \nThese are lively\, often humorous and always varied monthly folk evenings led by Eric and Eileen Payne. \nThe club runs every 4th Saturday (except December – 3rd Saturday) of the month from 7.30pm to 10.30pm. \nThe entrance fee is £2.50\, payable on the door. DESCRIPTION:About the walk\nDiscover the rich heritage of one of England’s most charming spa towns\, famed for its invigorating Water Cure. \nJoin one of Malvern Civic Society’s volunteer guides to trace the town’s evolution\, from a 19th century spa destination\, to its role in World War II as an important centre for secret radar development. Along the way\, explore Victorian architecture\, Great Malvern Priory\, connections to composer Edward Elgar\, and sites celebrated through Malvern’s many blue plaques\, commemorating notable residents and visitors. \nWhether you’re a first-time visitor or a lifelong resident\, you’ll leave with a deeper appreciation for Malvern’s cultural and historical legacy. \nDates and times\nThe 90-minute tours operate every Saturday and Monday from April 2026 to October 2026\, starting at 10.30am from Malvern Tourist Information Centre on Church Street (contact: 01684 892289). \nAll walks are subject to guide availability. \nTickets\nThe cost is £7 for adults; 14 – 16 year olds go free. \nTickets are available online via TicketSource or at the Malvern Tourist Information Centre. SUMMARY:Meditation and Buddhism Class
DESCRIPTION:Join us at Adhisthana to meditate with others and develop your ability to work creatively with your mind. You can either learn to meditate from scratch and develop the foundations for a daily practice or join the regulars to build on what you know and discover how to apply yourself effectively in meditation. \nAs of December 2025\, classes are being held on Mondays from 7.30pm – 9.30pm and are open to participants of all levels of experience. Please note there is no class on 22 or 29 December 2025. \nYou are welcome to arrive 15 minutes before the start. You’ll be greeted at the entrance by someone who will direct you where to go and help you with any queries. \nThe class takes place in a room on the first floor and is\, as a consequence\, unfortunately not accessible. \nIn the first half of the session\, we meditate together; this is followed by a tea break.
