Midsummer Malvern

Midsummer Malvern is a week long programme of events – talks, walks, displays and concerts. It is part of the national civic day promotion of civic societies in the community.

Friday 21 June
10.00 – 16.00: The Printing Workshop at St Peter’s Arts Church, Cowleigh Bank
19.00: Community Partnership Reception: A Reception for the Mayor of Marianske Lazne at the Great Malvern Hotel
19.30: Czech Film – Closely Observed Trains at Malvern Cube

Saturday 22 June
10.00 – 13.00: Mask Making Workshop for Children and Parents/Carers at St Peter’s Arts Church, Cowleigh Bank
10.30: Opening of Civic Week by the Mayor of Malvern at Belle Vue Island
11.00: Malvern Civic Society’s Schools’ Literary Competition Prize Giving at Malvern Theatres
from 14.00: The Downs School Railway at The Downs School, Brockhill Road, Colwall
18.30 – 21.30: Picnic on the Worcestershire Beacon starting in Rosebank Gardens
20.00: An Evening with Carol Ann Duffy at St Peter’s Arts Church, Cowleigh Bank

16.30: ‘900 Years of Music Making on the Malverns’ – Talk by Dr John Harcup at Malvern Theatres (Cinema)

10.30: Malvern Town Walk starting at Tourist Information Centre
10.30 – 12.00: Amida Community Choir at Amida Mandala Buddhist Temple, Worcester Road
10.30 – 16.30: Science in the Park in Priory Park
11.00 – 17.00: Open Garden at 24 Croft Bank
18.30 – 21.30: Midsummer Malvern Jazz Concert at Malvern Cube

Sunday 30 June
10.00: 10 Mile Cycle Ride Led by Roger Keeling departing from Victoria Park
18.30: Friends’ Choral Evensong at Great Malvern Priory
Exhibition: Alabaster into Art at Great Malvern Priory (running until Saturday 6 July)
