SUMMARY:A Chorus of Disapproval - Presented by Regal Community Theatre
DESCRIPTION:Join the Regal Community Theatre for their Spring 2025 production: A Chorus of Disapproval by Alan Ayckbourn \nA diffident widower tries to overcome loneliness by joining the local amateur light operatic society. By accident rather than by design (in fact\, by not saying “no” to anything be it a request to obtain confidential information from his company or an offer of illicit sex)\, he progresses from a small part to the lead role. Parallels are skilfully drawn between The Beggar’s Opera and the daily activities of the society that’s performing it. \nShow times\nThursday 27 March 2025\, 7.15pm\nFriday 28 March 2025\, 7.15pm\nSaturday 29 March 2025\, 2.15pm\nSaturday 29 March 2025\, 7.15pm

SUMMARY:Malvern Big Band - Concert in aid of Malvern Cube
DESCRIPTION:As a local community band\, Malvern Big Band places great value on its developing relationship with Malvern Cube. This unassuming building is an excellent resource for the local community and is run by a few paid staff and a large team of dedicated volunteers. Since MBB first performed at the Cube\, its members have become increasingly aware of how vital it is to many groups in Malvern – not only to performers\, but also to the health and well-being of everyone who participates in one of the many activities there. By the time of this concert in March 2025\, MBB will have performed at the Cube eight times since its first visit in 2021\, so it is\, without a doubt\, the right venue for the band. As a group\, it offers them the best possible combination of performing facilities and audience accommodation. \nMalvern Cube will always need to develop and maintain its facilities. So\, by purchasing a ticket and coming to this concert (or buying a ticket for someone else) you will be helping to secure its future. \nTickets are available from Malvern Cube (buy online) priced at £12 (18 years and under: £6.00; 10 and under: free) or on the door at £14/£7 (cash only please\, no card/contactless facilities available). \nDoors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. \nThis is expected to be a popular event and therefore booking tickets in good time is advisable\, rather than risking buying them on the door. \nRefreshments will be available from the bar throughout the evening (card or cash).

SUMMARY:Ellen Kent: La Boheme
DESCRIPTION:Senbla presents Opera International’s award-winning Ellen Kent Production of Puccini’s La Boheme\, featuring the Ukrainian Opera & Ballet Theatre Kyiv\, with international soloists\, highly-praised chorus and full orchestra. \nDirected by Ellen Kent\, this brand-new production is traditionally staged and boasts beautiful sets and costumes. \nLa Boheme is one of the most romantic operas ever written\, telling the tragic story of the doomed\, consumptive Mimi and her love for a penniless writer. \nThe set evokes the Bohemian art of the period and will include snow effects\, whilst Muzetta’s dog will also make an appearance. \nThe work will be sung in Italian with English surtitles.
