SUMMARY:I’m Sorry Prime Minister
DESCRIPTION:From the BAFTA Award-winning co-creator of Yes\, Minister and Yes\, Prime Minister\, Jonathan Lynn\, comes the long-awaited final chapter of British political satire – and it is as cunning\, cutting\, and catastrophically funny as ever. \nJim Hacker is back – older\, though possibly not wiser\, and still completely baffled by the real world. Planning for a stress-free retirement at the tranquil Hacker College\, Oxford\, Jim instead finds himself contending with the ultimate 21st century crisis: cancelled by the college committee. \nEnter the delightfully devious Sir Humphrey Appleby who has lost none of his love for bureaucracy\, Latin phrases\, and well-timed obstruction. \nCan Humphrey outmanoeuvre the meddling students\, the Fellowship\, and reality itself? \nFull of razor-sharp wit\, nostalgic brilliance\, and more double-speak than a press briefing\, this is political comedy at its most timeless – and timely. \nShow times\nTuesday 28 July 2026\, 7.30pm\nWednesday 29 July 2026\, 2.30pm\nWednesday 29 July 2026\, 7.30pm\nThursday 30 July 2026\, 2.30pm\nThursday 30 July 2026\, 7.30pm\nFriday 31 July 2026\, 7.30pm\nSaturday 1 August 2026\, 2.30pm\nSaturday 1 August 2026\, 7.30pm

SUMMARY:Meditation and Buddhism Class
DESCRIPTION:Join us at Adhisthana to meditate with others and develop your ability to work creatively with your mind. You can either learn to meditate from scratch and develop the foundations for a daily practice or join the regulars to build on what you know and discover how to apply yourself effectively in meditation. \nAs of December 2025\, classes are being held on Mondays from 7.30pm – 9.30pm and are open to participants of all levels of experience. Please note there is no class on 22 or 29 December 2025. \nYou are welcome to arrive 15 minutes before the start. You’ll be greeted at the entrance by someone who will direct you where to go and help you with any queries. \nThe class takes place in a room on the first floor and is\, as a consequence\, unfortunately not accessible. \nIn the first half of the session\, we meditate together; this is followed by a tea break. In the second half\, we learn about the teachings of the Buddha with the chance to engage in discussion and ask questions. \nThe class is led by a team of members of the Triratna Buddhist Order and those who are training for ordination. \nIf you would like more information\, you can call Adhisthana on 01531 641726 or email us (otherwise just turn up!).

SUMMARY:Great Malvern Heritage Walk
DESCRIPTION:About the walk\nDiscover the rich heritage of one of England’s most charming spa towns\, famed for its invigorating Water Cure. \nJoin one of Malvern Civic Society’s volunteer guides to trace the town’s evolution\, from a 19th century spa destination\, to its role in World War II as an important centre for secret radar development. Along the way\, explore Victorian architecture\, Great Malvern Priory\, connections to composer Edward Elgar\, and sites celebrated through Malvern’s many blue plaques\, commemorating notable residents and visitors. \nWhether you’re a first-time visitor or a lifelong resident\, you’ll leave with a deeper appreciation for Malvern’s cultural and historical legacy. \nDates and times\nThe 90-minute tours operate every Saturday and Monday from April 2026 to October 2026\, except 13 July and 12 September\, starting at 10.30am from Malvern Tourist Information Centre on Church Street (contact: 01684 892289). \nAll walks are subject to guide availability. \nTickets\nThe cost is £7 for adults; 14 – 16 year olds go free. \nTickets are available online via TicketSource or at the Malvern Tourist Information Centre. Any tickets for a Saturday walk unsold online by noon on Friday\, or tickets for a Monday walk unsold online by 8am on Monday\, will become available to purchase through Malvern Tourist Information Centre during opening hours. Please note tickets for 14 – 16 year olds can be booked only through Malvern Tourist Information Centre (not online) \nPrivate group walks may be available – enquire directly to the TIC. \nAccessibility\nDue to the content of the tours and the hilly nature of Malvern\, these walks are not suitable for children under 14 years\, nor for anyone with mobility issues. \nDogs\nSorry – no dogs are allowed\, except assistance dogs. \nAlternative tour\nIn addition to the standard tour described above\, some guides offer a specialist tour\, by arrangement\, for those with a particular interest in the arts: “The Culture and The Cure”. Writers\, artists and musicians have been attracted to Malvern for over a hundred years – hear their stories plus how this small Worcestershire town became a major spa. For more details regarding this bespoke tour\, please contact the Malvern Tourist Information Centre in the first instance. \nReviews\nRead the many five-star reviews on the Trip Advisor page for Great Malvern Heritage Walks.

SUMMARY:Emmeline Pankhurst – Angel or Anarchist? (Ink & Curtain Festival)
DESCRIPTION:On a Role Theatre Company presents Emmeline Pankhurst – Angel or Anarchist?\, written by Chris Jaeger and starring Liz Grand \nEmmeline Pankhurst is one of the most influential and well-known British women ever to have lived. She fought tirelessly to win the vote for women. She was imprisoned on a number of occasions and frequently went on hunger strike. Having failed to make any impression on the male electorate and parliamentarians for nearly three decades\, she became a strong proponent of Direct Action. The suffragettes threw stones at politicians\, set fire to letter boxes\, torched buildings\, chained themselves to railings\, and threw themselves under horses. \nAlthough they were eventually successful\, many suffragettes suffered terribly during the campaign. Emmeline had her critics. Many people were of the opinion that\, had the suffragettes been less confrontational\, the franchise would have been extended to women much earlier. They regarded Emmeline as someone who had hindered the fight rather than helped it. But what was the truth? \nThis production stars Liz Grand (previous shows The Second Best Bed\, Where Is Mrs\, Christie?\, Mrs. Churchill – My Life With Winston and The Secret Life of Enid Blyton)\, who brilliantly portrays this complex\, courageous and visionary woman. \nShow times\nSaturday 25 July 2026\, 3pm\nSaturday 25 July 2026\, 7pm\nSunday 26 July 2026\, 3pm
