How To Get Here


Malvern is on the A449 trunk route from Worcester to Ross on Wye. Travelling from the North on the M5 motorway, visitors should exit at Junction 7 and follow the signs to Malvern. Travelling from the South on the M5, visitors should exit at Junction 8 onto the M50 motorway and then after a very short distance take Junction 1 signposted to the Malverns following the A38 to Upton Upon Severn and then the B4211 into Malvern.

Upton upon Severn is located on the West side of the River Severn, just off the A38 Worcester to Tewkesbury road. Travelling from the North, follow the directions above but turn off left onto the A38 through the village of Kempsey, heading towards Tewkesbury.

Tenbury Wells is located on the A456. From Worcester, take the A443 road on the West side of the River Severn.

Both Malvern and Upton are served by a variety of local bus services. The 42 service provides local transport around Malvern. The 44 service also provides local transport around Malvern and to and from Worcester. The 332 and 333 services go to and from Upton and Worcester via Kempsey. Upton can also be accessed on the 363 service from Worcester, which serves Hanley Swan and Welland. The 675 service connects Great Malvern to Colwall and Ledbury via the Wyche Cutting. Tenbury Wells is connected to Worcester via Great Witley by service 758 and to Kidderminster via Bewdley by service 291.

Great Western Railway runs long distance services to Great Malvern from London Paddington, Reading, Oxford and Hereford, as well as direct regional services from Gloucester and Bristol. Great Malvern railway station is a short walk from the town centre from where a climb up to the ridge of the Malvern Hills will reward you with countryside views over Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
