SUMMARY:Vivaldi’s Gloria (Autumn in Malvern Festival)
DESCRIPTION:The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire\, conducted by Alison Hunka and featuring Carl Roewer (bassoon)\, Daniel Roughly (trumpet) and Andrew Caskie (organ)\, plus the 875 Singers and vocal soloists Brittany King\, Lara Johnson and Charlotte Moore \nFormed to mark 875 years since the founding of Little Malvern Priory\, the 875 Singers is a local choir\, directed by Alison Hunka. They are joined by instrumentalists from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire for a programme of music by Mendelssohn and Vivaldi\, including Vivaldi’s famous Gloria RV 589\, first heard in Venice in 1715. \nProgramme to include:\nMendelssohn A Selection of Psalm Settings\, Anthems and Pieces from Elijah\nVivaldi Bassoon Concerto in G Minor\nVivaldi Trumpet Concerto in G Major\nVivaldi Gloria \nTickets\n£17.50 including booking fee – available via the Malvern Theatres website (but please note that the concert itself is at Christ Church\, Avenue Road)

SUMMARY:Orchestra Pro Anima
DESCRIPTION:Directed from the violin by Michael Bochmann MBE with soloists Michael Bochmann and George Ewart (violins) & Helen Roberts (viola) \nOrchestra Pro Anima will give the next concert in their Sunday afternoon series at this welcoming venue with a mixed programme of music from the Baroque\, Classical and Romantic periods. Their enduring popularity emanates not only from the calibre of their performances but also from their sense of spontaneity\, stage presence and rapport with audiences. \nThe first half opens with a most vibrant early work by Mozart and continues with two movements of the Telemann Viola Concerto\, the first sad and radiantly beautiful\, the second joyful and upbeat.
