DESCRIPTION:Gardens mainly laid out in 1865\, based on three avenues of oak\, cedar and Lombardy poplar\, within and around which are specimen trees and flowering shrubs. Meadows within the avenues covered in daffodils\, and later\, fritillaries\, bluebells\, cowslips etc. Recent rhododendron plantings. Holly hedge enclosure with 100m walk of peonies and irises\, next to a crescent tunnel of pollarded limes. \nFor this open day\, you can either book your tickets online in advance or just turn up and pay on the day (cash or card). \nAdmission\nAdult: £10\nChild: £5 \nDate in 2026\nThursday 14 May\, 12pm – 4pm \nTea\, coffee and cake will be available.

DESCRIPTION:Madresfield Court\, situated within the Madresfield Estate at the foot of the Malvern Hills\, is a moated stately home that has been in the Lygon family for over 900 years and is currently home to its 29th generation. \nThe house played a significant part in nurturing the Arts and Crafts movement and contains a fine collection of paintings\, furniture and ceramics. It also has a rich history\, with both Edward Elgar and Evelyn Waugh having been frequent visitors. \nThe house and beautiful grounds are open to welcome visitors at various times throughout the year. Access to the house and gardens is by guided tour only and tickets must be pre-booked online. \nThe Madresfield Estate also hosts several popular events throughout the year within the grounds of the Court. \n2026 season details\nThe 2026 tour season at Madresfield Court runs from 22 April until 27 June\, plus 29 July – 1 August inclusive. \nTours generally run on Wednesdays\, Thursdays and Fridays (with some exceptions and the occasional Saturday). \nOn each open day\, four tours will run\, with each tour taking a maximum of fifteen people aged 16 and over. Sadly\, the tours are not suitable for babies or children under 16 and are subject to accessibility restrictions. \nTickets are £17 per person and all visitors will have the chance to enjoy the gardens either before or after the house tour. \nRefreshments can now be enjoyed in the newly refurbished Play Room. \nFor full details\, including booking terms and conditions\, to check that a tour is running on your chosen date and to book your place\, visit the Madresfield Court website. \nPhoto supplied by Madresfield Court.
