SUMMARY:Tallulah Swirls Puppet Theatre Shadow Puppet Show and Workshop - Great Malvern Festival of Stories for Children
DESCRIPTION:Mexican Day of the Dead immersive shadow puppet performance (running time 25 minutes) & puppet making workshops. Originally performed in The Bristol Museum and Bath’s American Museum\, it continues to tour primary schools and venues in the West Country and beyond. \n‘I invited Amy to devise a one-off shadow puppet workshop for our Day of the Dead celebrations at the American Museum. Her response to the brief was thoughtful and creative\, and she designed a workshop that was inspired by museum collections but also drew heavily on the fun and exuberance of the festival itself. She wove a touching and funny Day of the Dead tale\, before children made their own skeleton puppets and took part in a shadow puppet parade. Amy interacted well with both children and parents and feedback from families was overwhelmingly positive\, with several parents commenting that it had been ‘magical’. We look forward to working with her again.’ Zoe Dennington\, Head Of Learning and Events Programming\, American Museum\, Bath \nAmy Lloyd-Jones has taken her wonderful puppet shows to theatres\, schools\, museums\, libraries and festivals all over the West Country and beyond. She makes all her own puppets and props and with a big dollop of mischief\, energy and creativity it is no surprise an audience’s imaginations is engaged in an instant. \nParents are advised to visit Tallulah Swirls web site to read more about the theme and activities tallulahswirls.co.uk \nDuration of the session will be approximately 90 mins (including puppet show and workshop) \n2.00pm – 3:45pm  \nAges: 7 + \nTickets\nPerformance & Workshop ticket price £9 per person (adults and Children). All materials provided. \nTicket price includes VAT.\n \n20% multiple event discount available when booked directly with Malvern Theatres box office. \nTicket price does not include booking fee.\nAll children must be accompanied by an adult. \nFind out more about tallulahswirls.co.uk  \nWhat’s on at the Great Malvern Festival of Stories for Children. \nThe Great Malvern Festival of Stories for Children is part funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

SUMMARY:The Return (Workshop) (FEAST)
DESCRIPTION:Workshop led by Natasha Stanic Mann. \nWithin the framework of ‘The Return’\, a one-woman show about the intergenerational effects of war\, we developed a workshop based on the themes we are exploring in the piece – living through a war\, leaving one’s country\, and building a new life and a sense of belonging. Through drama games\, improvisation and devising techniques\, workshop participants get a taste of what goes into dramatising life experience. Participants work in groups and use stimuli including objects\, images or poems to devise stories and make performances. \nThis workshop provides a safe environment for the participants to take risks and experiment with something new. It encourages participants to explore their creative potential and share stories. The collaborative nature of the workshop nurtures interpersonal skills\, promotes teamwork and communication\, and develops a sense of community. \nTickets: £5 plus booking fee – book online at Ticketsource
