Abberley Hall

Abberley Hall is Listed Grade II* and has been described by English Heritage as one of the finest remaining examples of a Victorian Country House, comparable with Osborne House on the Isle of Wight and Brodsworth Hall in Yorkshire. It was built by the Moilliet family in 1845 and sold to the Jones family in 1867 who redesigned the interiors in great style in the 1880s. These interiors have remained intact ever since which is what makes the house so special. The Abberley Hall Foundation has recently been established to nurture the historic estate and has made great strides to counter the wear and tear suffered over the last century. Abberley Hall can be visited by appointment – please contact Jo Roche on 01299 832666.
