The walk highlights how Colwall Stone developed due to the arrival of the Worcester to Hereford railway; its engineer Steven Ballard; horse racing and a public school’s miniature railway.

The walk starts at Colwall Railway Station and heads over the railway climbing up to Linden House and Chase Road then passing two air shafts and Ballard’s grave. Head then onto the Downs school and miniature Railway. Round Colwall Stone and head to the old racecourse before returning to the start point.

About 575ft ascent and descent; there is a number of stiles and gates

There are NO toilets on the walk route.
