Green Cow Kitchens

Down a mile-and-a-half long track winding through the historic Whitbourne Estate, past lovingly-grown herds of Beef Shorthorn cattle and Lleyn sheep, you’ll find award-winning fine dining restaurant Green Cow Kitchens nestled in a wooded valley.

In a converted 18th Century pigsty, chefs create exceptional, seasonal tasting menus using meat from the home farm, game from the estate, fruit and vegetables from the kitchen garden and wild garlic, puffballs and hedgerow fruit foraged from the woods and meadows.

At lunch or dinner, pop the corks on a bottle from the carefully-curated wine list or indulge in a homemade cocktail or three, and settle down in the intimate space for exquisite canapés at your table, dressed with handpicked blooms from the cutting garden. With breathtaking views, feast on tasting dishes celebrating the bounty of the 1,500-acre estate, home to the Evans family since the 1850s.

Green Cow has been welcoming diners to the shire since 2012, pairing the warmth and intimacy of a family-run service with a deep care for culinary excellence.

In spring and summer, Green Cow loves to take the party outdoors with magical Woodland Feasts and other spectacular pop-up dining events, with meat from the home farm cooked on the back of the farm Landy. At Christmas, there are enchanting children’s events, Black Tie Tasting Feasts and classical music concerts thanks to a unique partnership with the world-renowned English Symphony Orchestra.

Green Cow Kitchens is part of Crumplebury, a dazzling events and wedding venue on the Worcestershire/Herefordshire border, with 11 spoiling bedrooms, all with ginormous roll-top baths and gloriously comfy beds. Longfield Cottage is a stylish, self-catering bolt-hole for four, complete with wood-fired hot tub in the private garden. There are corporate events spaces seating two to 200.

Green Cow Kitchens is open for lunch and dinner on Thursdays, lunch and dinner on Fridays, dinner on Saturdays and lunch on Sundays.
