When summer rolls around there comes with it a strange longing to be somewhere in the countryside, holding a cold drink and listening to some fantastic live music – all while trying your best to live in a tent! The Malverns is home to so many music festivals from town centre blues weekends to dance music experiences there’s something to please every taste. With the weather on our side you can dance away the summer with music festivals across The Malverns.

Riverside town Upton upon Severn is one of the most musical towns in the country playing host to no less than 5 music festivals each year. Upton Blues Festival is not only the UK’s biggest free blues festival but it is also multi – award winning taking home “Festival of the Year” at the 2023 UK Blues Awards. The festival takes place on three main stages throughout the town, and there are dozens more acts in the town’s pubs and bars. There’s also the Folk Festival, Upton Jazz Festival and Sunshine Festival.

In Great Malvern Malvern Rocks has been revived and Mapp Fest annually takes over Malvern Link Common. In the south of the Malvern Hills Eastnor Deer Park plays host to large festivals such as Lakefest and Eldorado.

The famous faces coming to The Malverns in 2024

Music festivals across The Malverns have pulled out all the stops to attract the biggest and best artists to entertain you this summer. The stars are out at App Fest with The Boomtown Rats (fronted by the charismatic Bog Geldof), Scouting for Girls and Feeder topping the line up. Also attending is X-Factor star Rebecca Ferguson and singer-songwriter Gabriella Cilmi.

El Dorado Festival presents an eclectic mixture of music genres and artists from Grime MC Flowdan to DJ and music producer Honey Dijon. Also heading the line up are DJ’s Interplanetary Criminal, and Palms Trax as well as musician and producer SBTRKT, and drum & bass giant Sub Focus.

On the Abbey Stage at Lake-Fest see Pete Doherty’s The Libertines, Brit Award Winning hitmakers Rudimental and The Voice judge and Pop-Star Olly Murs.
