Feel the exhilaration and community spirit of long distance running, hill running, cycling and multi sport events. Many intense sporting activities take place on the Malvern Hills, its undulating trails and high peaks make the perfect arena to test your endurance and mental strength. Other multi sport everts, like triathlons, take place at Worcester Universities Lakeside Campus with their large swimming and water sports lake, running trail and cycling routes nearby. The facilities are also open for swimming and group activities such as kayaking, raft building and archery.

There is a great mounting biking community to join, culminating in the The GT Bicycles Malverns Classic Mountainbike Festival. This is a packed weekend festival, hosted at Eastnor Deer Park, with races, a huge trade expo area, pump track, children’s activities and entertainment such as live bands and DJ’s. From just £33 for an adult day ticket this is the ideal opportunity for the whole family to get involved in everything mountain biking. Road cycling is also a popular way to exercise at the same time as taking in the gorgeous countryside. The rolling countryside of The Malverns, including its tendency to be a bit hilly, makes for some fun and engaging routes – made all the better with a bit of friendly competition and camaraderie.

If you just want to get stuck in, try Eastnor Mud Bath. Set in the trails of the Landover Experience, the muddiest trails the Estate has to offer, the track will put even the toughest runner through their paces with obstacles, fallen trees, flooded paths and of course plenty of sticky mud! With a 3km mini mud bath for little ones aged 3+ and 5 or 10km trail’s open to over 14’s everyone is encouraged to take part.
