Event Description

A second run of the Nettle Immersion, the same but completely different!

Flowing in harmony with the turning of the year, in spring, the leaf taught us about nourishment; now, in summer, the focus turns to the blossom and seed. The blossom teaches us about boundaries, and the seed teaches us about sustenance.

A concentrated, high-impact sensory journey where participants will experience the full transformation of the nettle from sustenance to sacredness where the boundaries between plant, performer, and participant dissolve. A Japanese-style tea ceremony unfolds. The air hums with nettle music – an otherworldly soundscape generated by electrodes attached to living nettle plants (pre-recorded), transforming the plant’s own bio-electrical rhythms into an ambient, haunting score. The Nettle Epoch poem will be recited with quiet intensity – each word landing like a seed in dark soil. Afterwards, a brief synopsis of the nettle’s gifts will emerge. Then the transformation completes and each participant receives a personal blessing with nettle flower essence – a subtle remedy carrying the plant’s signature of resilience and fierce protection; nettle seed energy balls to taste, earthy and sweet, proof that fear can become nourishment. Each participant will leave with the quiet knowing that they have crossed a threshold and emerged changed, initiated into the Nettle Tribe.

Suitable for adults and young people (aged 12 plus).
