Event Description

On a modest farm in a Norwegian forest, the Payne family live a deliberately isolated life, aiming to be wild and free. Maria and Nik, along with their four children – named Ulv, Falk, Freja and Ronja – are self-sufficient. They home-school their children and build a closely-knit family dynamic in harmony with the natural world around them. However, when tragedy strikes the family, it destabilises their idyllic world and compels them to forge a new path into modern society.

Directed by Silje Evensmo Jacobsen, this documentary film was an official selection at many 2024 film festivals.
