Event Description
Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s cult classic is re-released in cinemas for the film’s 25th anniversary.
Amelie is an adorable yet painfully shy 23 year old who, after an isolating childhood, moves to Paris where she becomes a waitress at the Cafe des Deux Moulins, a bar restaurant filled with a colourful cast of diners and employees. One night, Amelie discovers a box of treasures hidden in her apartment, left by a little boy in the Fifties, that changes the course of her life as she discovers a gift for helping others. Soon she spends her days as a matchmaker, guardian angel and all-around-do-gooder. But when she bumps into a handsome stranger, will she find the courage to become the star of her very own love story?
