Event Description
Heritage Open Day visitors will be treated to a guided tour of the state rooms of Eastnor Castle, after which they are free to enjoy the castle grounds, tree trail, arboretum, and lakeside walk.
Built in the Georgian era but with the look of a much older castle, Eastnor Castle is now the home of the Hervey-Bathurst family, grandsons of Arthur Cocks, 6th Baron Somers and is surrounded by a beautiful arboretum and lake. It has richly decorated interiors containing medieval armour, fine art and tapestries.
Visitors who explore the castle can marvel at the magnificent state rooms including the Great Hall, State Dining Room, Gothic Drawing Room, and Octagon Saloon. Visitors are invited to enter the Castle through the magnificent main doors.
The beautiful grounds are home to a spectacular arboretum and a magnificent lake where visitors can walk freely or follow set trails and walks to discover some breathtaking views and landscapes.
