Event Description
The Elgar Chorale, conducted by Piers Maxim with John Upperton (tenor), Christopher Allsop (organ) and Nia Evans (harp)
Following their successful concert in last year’s festival, The Elgar Chorale returns under the direction of Piers Maxim with a programme including works by Brahms, Janacek, Elgar and Coleridge-Taylor. A heartfelt setting of poems by Laurence Binyon, the piece is Elgar’s response to the horrors of the First World War.
