A showcase of British composers: an hour of music, history and heart at the Birthplace of Edward Elgar, The Firs

Come along to this special venue for a magical concert that brings to life the rich tapestry of British classical music. The performance by the acclaimed duo of Corinne Frost (cello) and Janine Parsons (piano) showcases a stunning programme of works by some of Britain’s most revered composers, including Edward Elgar, George Butterworth, John Ireland, Gustav Holst, Frederick Delius, and Ralph Vaughan Williams, whose unique voices helped to create the nation’s musical identity.

As an added fascinating dimension, historian and broadcaster Richard Westwood-Brookes will guide the audience through the stories behind the music.
