Event Description

Hellens is delighted to welcome The Swedish Riksspelmän, bringing glorious folk and dance music to the Great Barn. Audience members can look forward to a lively evening with the national folk musicians, along with their fiddles, pipes and guitar, who insist upon audience participation.

The Riksspelmän Maria Wernberg, with Peter and Jeanett Rousu, invite you to discover ‘Zorn’s Folk Music’. Throughout the evening the Riksspelmän will intersperse their magical folk music with anecdotes about the paintings and events which shaped the life of the famous European artist Anders Zorn, (1860 – 1920) who helped bring folk music back to life in Sweden.

The audience are encouraged to bring their instruments and dancing shoes!

The Haywain Bar will be available throughout the evening from 6.30pm.
