Event Description

Gardens of moated stately home (house not open, but does open for booked guided tours on selected dates) mainly laid out in 1865, based on three avenues of oak, cedar and Lombardy poplar, within and around which are specimen trees and flowering shrubs. Meadows within the avenues are awash with daffodils early in the year, and later, fritillaries, bluebells, cowslips etc. Recent rhododendron plantings. Holly hedge enclosure with 100m-long walk of peonies and irises, next to a crescent tunnel of pollarded lime trees.

For this open day, you can either book your tickets online in advance or just turn up and pay on the day (cash or card).
