70 Voices. One Roof. One Unmissable Night: Male Voice Choir Spectacular Set to Shake Great Malvern Priory

Malvern is set to resonate with powerful harmony this spring as three dynamic male voice choirs unite for one unforgettable musical event.

On Saturday 18 April 2026 at 7pm, the stunning Great Malvern Priory will host a Male Voice Choir Spectacular – a rare coming together of voices, tradition, and sheer vocal power.

Leading the evening is Malvern Male Voice Choir, proudly part of the town’s musical heartbeat for over a century. They’ll be joined by two exceptional visiting ensembles: the vibrant Bois Goetre-Hen Male Choir from Bridgend, South Wales, and the newly united Vauxhall Luton Male Voice Choir, blending proud Bedfordshire legacies into one exciting sound.

Bois Goetre-Hen may be one of Wales’ newer choirs – founded in 2009 – but it’s already hitting remarkable heights, chalking up an astonishing number of performances – this concert in Malvern being its 350th – with a fresh, modern repertoire alongside beloved Welsh classics.

Meanwhile, Vauxhall Luton Male Voice Choir represents a bold new chapter, formed from the merger of two long-standing choirs, bringing renewed energy, ambition, and musical flair.

Malvern’s own conductor, Charles Pavey, explains: ‘Malvern Male Voice Choir has been a well-known part of the town’s musical fabric since 1922. During last year both of the visiting choirs contacted us separately and, very quickly, the idea of a massed choir concert was born. We are wishing to stage something very special and our visitors are wishing to explore the beauty of the Malvern Hills and enjoy the glories of the best acoustic in town! So come and enjoy a couple of hours of song with the considerable sound of three choirs, offering a wonderfully varied mix of music to guarantee a thoroughly entertaining evening.’

Interval refreshments available.

Don’t miss your chance to experience the thrilling sound of three choirs as one – this is Malvern at its musical best.

Tickets: £15 (adults) / £5 (under 18s) – available to book online as well as on the door
