Event Description

A circular walk taking in a central section of the Malvern Hills and returning through rolling Herefordshire countryside. We will visit the Worcestershire Beacon and the medieval churches at Cradley and Mathon. There will be a gentle introduction to the geology of the area and how that has shaped the landscape. There will be plenty of time to check out the show of Spring flowers and listen to the birdsong! Up down of 1,640 feet.

There’s a small number of stiles to negotiate and we can expect some sections of muddy ground and moderately steep slopes.

Bring snacks, a packed lunch and drinks. There is a pub at the end where we can take some refreshments for anybody who is interested. Public toilets at start/end of walk.
