Event Description
Virtuoso violinist Nigel Kennedy returns for his first UK tour in over a decade. The world’s best-selling violinist will be marking his 70th birthday in 2026 and is as fresh and entertaining as ever.
This promises to be a unique evening of classical, jazz, and contemporary repertoire from the nation’s greatest living violinist. Expect breath-taking Bach, alongside the most delicate rendition you will ever hear of ‘A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square’. Nigel’s own compositions will also feature, including a poignant tribute to Yehudi Menuhin and Stephane Grappelli, who taught, mentored and inspired him in his early years. Nigel will also play piano, which may surprise some but will delight all, as his virtuosic talent knows no bounds. Accompanied by his great friends Alec Dankworth (son of the late John Dankworth and Cleo Laine) on double bass and Peter Adams on cello, this is a rare opportunity to witness one of the greatest virtuoso musicians this country has ever produced.
