Event Description
Mothers Rise Up presents What Comes After the Flood, directed by Charli Willow. Come along for an intimate screening of the film at The Regal followed by a Q&A with contributors and local residents.
The film follows the story of Tenbury Wells, and explores the impact of flooding on communities, businesses and families across the UK. For many towns, flood insurance has now become unavailable or too expensive. But insurers are still supporting the polluting projects that make flooding worse.
We witness the human cost of the uninsurability crisis, the fierce power and resilience of community, and the urgent race to secure our collective future. With commentary from both international and local voices, the film explores the profound yet underestimated impact the insurance industry has on our daily lives, our communities, and the future of our planet.
We invite local people, councillors, business owners and community leaders to watch the film, and discuss the real world solutions available to Tenbury Wells and other flood-affected towns across the UK.
All welcome – please share widely with anyone who might be interested in coming along! RSVP essential via https://forms.gle/1qiyqkRPW4ZTNXnJ7
Please note, the film will start at 7.15pm.
