Event Description

This is a 2-hour workshop giving you practical skills to make your clothes last longer!

Sashiko is a traditional Japanese embroidery technique using white cotton thread to create geometric patterns on indigo blue fabric, often denim. Originating as a functional, durable mending method for rural clothing, it evolved into a decorative, mindful craft often used for visible mending.

Leave with a started or completed repair sample and/or small pouch for continued practice!

Tickets: £20 – book in person at the museum (open Friday & Saturday, 10am – 4pm), via email to [email protected] or DM @fashionmuseummalvern on Instagram
