‘Glamping’ is a great way to enjoy the outdoors and the novelty of camping but with the home comforts that you are used to when on holiday. Across The Malverns there are many sites that offer just that. They cater to anyone, from couples to families and pets, even work conferences and events. The sites listed below show a range of ‘glamping’ options and what there is to offer in the beautiful countryside across The Malverns.

HIDDEN VALLEY CAMPING

Where? In the Teme Valley countryside.
What’s Included?They offer bell tents containing everything that you need for a luxury break including: a double bed, wood burning stove, fire pit, cooking utensils and a kettle. They also offer camping beds for extra guests so you can bring the kids along.

The tents are just a stroll away from the toilets and showers but note that the tents do not have electric connection so it’s recommended that you “bring a torch for those midnight toilet trips”.

The Appeal: “Camping as it should be” (with just a spot of luxury)

CANVAS AND CLOVER

Where?Holt Heath
What’s Included?Fully fitted safari tents that sleep up to five people with bedding and extras such as a bedside cabinet, hat stand, fire pit and picnic bench/chairs are included.

The shower blocks have individual cubicles for your privacy with a hairdryer and a plug for any hair products you desire!
There are also fun extras such as wood fired pizzas on Fridays, ice cream for sale, books to borrow, table tennis and of course, ‘Bugingham Palace’ (the bug hotel).

The Appeal: “The feel-good sensation of waking up in a beautiful field, with the luxury of being in a bed, snuggled under a 13.5 tog duvet” and committing to ‘eco-tourism’ by using environmentally friendly sources.

SWALLOW FIELDS

Where? Malvern
What’s Included?Luxury spa lodges that sleep six people with a private hot tub, sauna, fire pit, bathroom, TV, mains electric and water, Wi-Fi and a log burner.

Children can enjoy the nature hideout and adventure camp play area while you take advantage of the spa treatments on offer. Extras on  this break include bike hire so you can explore the area before coming back to relax and a home cooked menu so you can have the luxury holiday you deserve.

ROSEBUD MEADOW

Where? Malvern Hills
What’s Included? This site has self-catered ‘pods’ to sleep in which are insulated, have electric lights and power sockets. Each pod has a porch to sit on and inside has a kettle, mini fridge and flat screen TV/DVD player.

The site is also home to some animals such as micro-pig, Annabelle, pygmy goats, miniature horses and sheep.

The Appeal: This relaxing site is ideal for those who wish to take a break from everyday life in a unique accommodation surrounded by wildlife and open space.

UP STICKS GLAMPING

Where? Malvern Hills
What’s Included? Luxury safari lodges with home comforts such as hot showers, double bedroom with cotton sheets, wood burner, gas hob, sink and fridge.
BBQ and breakfast goodies are available from the pantry with a kitchen complete with utensils, gas hob, toaster, sink and fridge. There is also the option to order in a home cooked meal if you’d rather save the cooking for someone else while you’re on holiday!
Due to the location of this site there is lots to see and do including paddling down the Wye, mountain biking in the Forest of Dean and exploring the Hills.

GREEN AND AWAY

Where? Bransford (between Malvern and Worcester on the Hereford to Worcester Road)
What’s Included? This eco-friendly site offers the option to bring your own tent or to book a furnished bell tent, standard tent or yurt. They practice sustainable living so facilities include hot wood-fired showers, eco composting toilets and the solar-powered charging station. So that toiletries are eco-friendly, guests are given sustainable soap, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Along with all of this, there is a café and bar on site serving a range of drinks and snacks.
