It’s not just holidaymakers that are attracted to The Malverns; over the past few months lots of new and exciting businesses have been opening their doors across our district. Our towns, Tenbury Wells, Malvern and Upton upon Severn, were already brimming with independent businesses and fantastic cuisines but now there’s even more to explore with a new wild swimming spot, technology museum and independent coffee shops.

The Malverns is positively brimming with new activities, shops and eateries with more exiting plans unfolding over the next few months – see all this, as well as your longstanding favourites, on your next visit.

The Technology Station – Great Malvern

This museum is a fascinating location which focuses on the technological innovation which originated in Malvern throughout World War II. This Technology Station does not only recognise the past, but also inspires to influence future generations of scientists and engineers through interactive displays and informative exhibits. Located in Great Malvern Train Station the museum is free to enter and open to the public on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Native, located on the historic Netherwood Estate, offers a sustainable and organic menu style, which aims to pursue the restaurant’s zero waste mission. Native is dedicated to locally sourcing their ingredients, with goodness harvested from the estates local gardens and surrounding landscapes. Native also offers an immersive experience that invites customers to explore both the food and the surrounding landscapes.

Papas Caffe – Great Malvern

The lively and well liked café, has been a staple in Worcester’s ‘New Street’ for over 12 years. Now Pappas has opened a new branch in Great Malvern – creating many new opportunities to expand their customer base and create an ‘unforgettable experience’ for many more. The café doesn’t just offer hot drinks, but breakfast and brunch, both favoured by many.

B&M is a well known, budget store which sells big brand products at cheap, affordable prices. After Wilkos closure in September, the residents of Malvern have been in need of a new shop which offers an extensive range of products at cheap prices, which is why B&M is a great replacement, offering goods from pet food to electronics.

The English Country House

This English Country House dates back to approximately 1617. The retreat invites visitors to ‘step back in time’ and enjoy the historic, yet fascinating, heritage of the house. Supported by MHDC, the vineyard hopes to “provide a unique and relaxing experience for city dwellers, foodies and nature lovers” with its new shepherds hut accommodation. There are many experiences that can be of interest, such as wine tasting, which makes the vineyard great for a few nights away. The huts are yet to be completed, with landscaping and furnishing still to come, but these two huts are sure to provide a cosy getaway no matter the season.
