Four new digital trails exploring the history behind some of Great Malvern, Malvern Link, Tenbury Wells and Upton upon Severn’s most interesting buildings and locations have been launched on the Trail Tale app. Supported by the expertise of a local historian the trail provides a guided walk with directions, photos and historical facts as it guides you around the towns talking in sights such as Malvern Priory, St Ann’s Well, the ancient Link Stone and The Morgan Factory.
The trails have been commissioned by Malvern Hills District Council to help visitors discover the hidden gems of The Malverns for free.
To enhance your visit, join one of the regular guided walks offered by volunteers from Malvern Civic Society.

Tour through Great Malvern, learning about how the Victorian Water Cure transformed the town, the influence The Malverns had on writer C. S. Lewis and the crucial part scientists in Malvern who worked at Britain’s radar research centre played in allied success in WWII.
Or choose the Malvern Link route to learn about the history of this ancient town originally inhabited by potters. The tour takes you through the history of Morgan Cars, the Link Stone and other landmarks of Malvern Link.
Head to Tenbury Wells and hear about this towns market town past or wander Upton upon Severn and experience hundreds of years of history.
The trails are free to download, easy to follow, with a map, clear instructions, images and audio description and take around 2 – 3 hours to complete.
