Malvern locals will be the first to admit, we’re spoilt for incredible views. As the dramatic peaks of the Malvern Hills flow into lush ancient woodlands and the gentle plains of the Teme Valley there’s a stunning sight around every corner. Some views are kinetic, like over the River Severn as it streams through Upton and the surrounding countryside. Others are steadfast, like the silhouette of The Malvern Hills, marking the horizon for miles around.
In this abundance of choice, there’s something special about having a favourite, a view you return to again and again, experiencing different seasons, weathers, sunsets and sunrises. We asked our social media community to send images of their favourite view in The Malverns, here are our top picks…

This view from British Camp Hillfort is a great spot to take in the line of The Malverns looking west, and it’s even more spectacular at sunset. It’s no mystery why the ancient inhabitants of these hills chose this spot to construct their dwelling, the views reach far into every corner of the horizon. Brilliantly captured by Jessica Allard, this view of The Malverns is as good as they come.
Another image taking in the iconic line of the hills, this time in the height of summer when the trees and grasslands on The Malverns are in their full green glory. All the seasons have their own charm, but The Malverns shows off in Summer.
The view from the Beacon, the highest point on The Malverns, is one of the most well loved by visitors and locals alike. On a clear day you can see for miles across counties and even into Wales and the Black Mountains. As you can see, even if the day you visit is a little hazy, the view is still breath-taking. The Beacon is one of the best spots to see countryside views, sunsets and cloud formations and is a must see on your trip to The Malverns – the climb is worth it!

After all that dramatic landscape on the Malvern Hills how about something gentler. The surrounding countryside across the Teme Valley is equality beautiful and filled with pleasant hills, grasslands and inquisitive grazing livestock.
There’s few times better for a walk up the Malvern Hills than sunrise. You get a great vantage point to see the pink glow light up the sky and appear over the far horizon. In winter, if the hills are frosted or dusted with snow, they reflect the early morning light beautifully and the mist settles into the valleys. It’s more than worth the early wakeup – and a hot breakfast and cup of tea is waiting for you in Great Malvern after your decent. The town is just a short walk down from the hills and offers plenty to satisfy hungry walkers.
